Pokemon Silver Version is a landmark role-playing game (RPG) developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color. It serves as a sequel to the original Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, introducing the second generation of the franchise.

• The Region of Johto: Players begin as a rookie trainer in New Bark Town, embarking on a journey across the new Johto region to defeat eight Gym Leaders and challenge the Elite Four.
• The Kanto Post-Game: After conquering Johto, players can travel back to the original Kanto region to earn eight additional badges, effectively doubling the game's length.

• Breeding: Players can leave two Pokémon at a Day Care to produce an Egg, introducing "Baby Pokémon" like Pichu and Togepi.
• New Types: Introduced the Steel and Dark types to balance competitive play.
• Held Items: Pokémon can now hold items (like Berries) to use automatically during battle.
• The PokéGear: A multi-functional tool featuring a map, radio, and a cell phone that allows in-game trainers to call you for rematches or tips.
