Spider-Man Mysterio's Menace is a 2001 action-platformer developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision for the Game Boy Advance (GBA). It is the first Spider-Man title for the handheld system and is noted for its high-quality sprite animation and fluid 2D combat. 

Key Features & Gameplay

• Combat & Movement: The game features fluid 2D combat including multi-hit combos, aerial juggles, and web-enhanced finishers. Players can freely web-swing, wall-crawl, and shoot various web types (like capture webs) to subdue enemies.
• Suit & Power-Up System: A central mechanic is the collection of specialized "suits" (such as the Symbiote Suit) and upgrades that enhance Spider-Man’s strength, health, and web capacity.
• Level Structure: The game consists of seven diverse stages, including city streets, a casino, and a secret laboratory. Players can choose between three initial crimes to investigate, opening a non-linear path through the story.
• Villain Roster: Led by the titular Mysterio, the game pits players against classic foes like Rhino, Hammerhead, Big Wheel, Electro, and Scorpion. 

Plot Summary

The story begins with Peter Parker being reminded by Mary Jane to buy a new fishbowl for their fish. However, a news report of criminal activity across New York forces Peter into action. After defeating Mysterio's sinister conspirators, Spider-Man faces the "Master of Illusion" in a final showdown. Upon victory, Peter brings Mysterio's discarded helmet home to use as the new fishbowl.
